Does Astra Atlas work for a business with no physical stock?
Yes. Mark a product as a service (one checkbox) and Atlas stops requiring a stock quantity for it — it bills, reports GST and shows up in P&L exactly like a stocked product, just without any inventory movement.
Can I put a SAC code on a service invoice instead of an HSN code?
Yes — the same code field is used for both. Enter your SAC code when setting up the service and it prints correctly on invoices and in GST exports.
What is a retainer invoice?

Is there a free plan for consultants and freelancers?
Yes — the free plan covers invoicing and basic reporting for up to 15 products/services. Retainer invoices and full accounting reports need the Starter plan (₹499/month).
Does Atlas handle appointment booking or scheduling?
No. Atlas bills for services with proper GST — it does not run a calendar or booking system. If your business is built around appointments (a salon or clinic, for example), Atlas is not the right fit.
